Improved Invoice Handling, Text Blocks, Dropdown Select and Microsoft Email — 7 January 2025

Our new invoice handling setting lets you determine when a paid subscription should be recognized in ChartMogul. You can choose to recognize a paid subscription in one of three ways: when a paid invoice is received, when a partially paid invoice is received (a new option), or when an invoice is issued. This setting is available for Stripe, Recurly, Chargebee, Braintree, and custom data sources. Learn More.

Additionally, we have introduced a new section that allows users to decide whether to include or exclude written-off, voided, and refunded invoices in the Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) calculations.

Dropdown select attribute

We have introduced a new custom attribute type called Dropdown select. It allows you to define a fixed set of values that will appear in a dropdown menu for the attribute. With Dropdown select, you gain more flexibility when using custom attributes while also saving time and ensuring clean data. Learn more.

Some common uses for the Dropdown select field type:

  • Loss reason (for opportunities)
  • Churn reason (for customers)
  • Industry (for customers)

Text blocks

Using text blocks helps you save time and avoid repetitive tasks by allowing you to quickly insert frequently used text into call logs, notes, and email drafts. Type a forward slash / followed by your shortcut text.

You can set up useful commands for your standard meeting agendas and frequently asked questions, making it easy to insert them into call logs, emails, and notes. Learn more.

Other improvements

The bug that caused the lead_created_at and free_trial_started_at dates to be lost during the merging of customer records has been fixed.
