Why isn’t my 2FA code working all of a sudden?

The most common cause for newly generated codes being rejected is that the time on your Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly meaning that it cannot correctly generate a working code.

In these situations, Google has advised ensuring that your time and date are being set automatically by your device. Try toggling the setting that governs this within the time and date settings in your phone.
