How do I import customers without using an integration?

If you’re not using an integration or have customer data stored outside of one of these systems, review the options below for importing your data into ChartMogul.

Import customer data stored outside your billing system to its own source. For example, most of your customers pay for their subscriptions with Stripe but a handful use direct debit. In this case, you’ll create two sources: one Stripe source and one custom source.

Add data within ChartMogul

Manually add data using data tables or by creating a customer record. This method is best for adding a small volume of customer records.

API

Our API enables you to programmatically integrate any billing system or database with ChartMogul. Once integrated, ChartMogul imports customers automatically.

This method is best for businesses with developer resources.

CSV

Upload customers using flexible CSV import or structured CSV import. This is a non-technical method for bulk importing customer records or historical data.

Google Sheets

Manually import customer, invoice, and transaction data using our Google Sheets integration. Best method for businesses who bill customers using invoices and use Google Workspace.

Next Steps

Once you’ve added customer records, add datasets for subscription analytics or CRM.
