How up-to-date is the data in ChartMogul?

Once you’ve connected your integration to ChartMogul, here’s how frequently your data is updated.

Integration  Update frequency
App Store Connect Daily
Braintree Hourly
Chargebee Real-time
GoCardless Real-time
Google Play Daily
HubSpot Real-time
Intercom Real-time
PayPal 3-hour delay
Recurly Real-time
Segment Real-time
Stripe Real-time

ChartMogul receives data from the majority of the above integrations through webhooks. To help ensure webhooks are processed in order, ChartMogul receives a webhook and listens for activities for 10 minutes before processing the webhook. This means that the data obtained from a webhook won’t appear immediately in the dashboard.

The ChartMogul data model

ChartMogul transforms the data it receives from an integration into our data model. Hence, you might see differences between reports in your billing system and ChartMogul. For example, a customer with a 100% discount may be active in your billing system but be considered a lead in ChartMogul, as our data model interprets a customer who has never paid as a lead.

Viewing update frequency

The time of the last update is displayed to the right of the Chart Data heading above your data table. If the integration you are using is not sending data in real-time, this can cause delays in the update frequency.

Causes of delays

There are some situations when your data sync may be interrupted, causing delays:

  • Infrastructure issues from integrations causing a delay in webhooks being sent
  • Large influxes of webhooks received at the same time
  • Infrastructure issues arising from our service provider

When using the ChartMogul API, imported customers, plans, invoices, and sources should be reported in ChartMogul within a few minutes and will be available via the API immediately. Your data will be processed and reported faster when batches of customer invoices are sent with each request instead of one invoice per request.
