Chart: All Subscribers
This chart is available with Subscription Analytics. If you're new to ChartMogul, get to know how charts work.
We introduced this chart on October 2, 2025, and are gradually making it available to all customers. It’s part of an update that improves subscription and trial handling. Other changes include a new “trial” line item type, new filters and improvements to the Subscriptions and Subscription History tables on customer records.
All Subscribers charts the change in the number of customers with a paid or free subscription over time.
Use Paid Subscribers to track the number of customers with paid subscriptions only.
Track your number of subscribers from your phone with the ChartMogul mobile app.
TL;DR
Subscribers charts the change in the number of customers with at least one Active or Past due subscription (paid or free) over time.
Chart Notes
- Customers with at least one Active or Past due subscription contribute to this chart. Customers who are Leads or Cancelled do not contribute to this chart. Learn more about customer and subscription statuses.
- Customers remain Active or Past due until either their subscriptions are canceled in your billing system, or they churn as a result of the Handling Past-due Subscriptions setting.
- A customer with multiple subscriptions is counted as one subscriber.
Calculation
ChartMogul calculates Subscribers as the total number of all customers with an Active or Past due subscription (paid or free) in a given period.
Chart Data
The Chart Data table for All Subscribers works differently from other charts. It provides the following breakdown:
- New Subscribers — The number of customers who became free or paid subscribers in the report interval.
- Reactivated Subscribers — The number of free and paid subscribers who reactivated in the report interval.
- Churned Subscribers — The number of free and paid subscribers who churned during the report interval and were still canceled at the end of the period.
- Subscribed & Churned — The number of free and paid subscribers who subscribed and churned within the report interval.
- Churned & Reactivated — The number of free and paid subscribers who churned and reactivated within the report interval. Shown for informational purposes only, as these subscribers do not impact the metric.
- Net Change — The net change in the number of free and paid subscribers from the previous report interval.
- Subscribers Entering Segment — When filtering by plan, the number of free and paid subscribers entering the applied segment within the report interval.
- Subscribers Leaving Segment — When filtering by plan, the number of free and paid subscribers leaving the applied segment within the report interval.
- Total Subscribers — The total number of free and paid subscribers in the report interval.
- Change — The increase or decrease in Total Subscribers from the previous report interval, shown as a percentage.
